1. Check your space first
Before choosing a unit, make sure you have enough room to install the central locking actuator. Confirm there’s no internal bracing or framing that will interfere with the installation. Clearance 220mm width and 38mm height above Whale Tail lock. Check images for instruction.
2. Choose left-hand or right-hand
Select the unit based on which side you have space to mount the actuator (see diagrams):
Left-hand unit: the Whale Tail lock sits on the left, and the central locking actuator sits on the right.
Right-hand unit: the Whale Tail lock sits on the right, and the central locking actuator sits on the left.
3. If you have room on either side
If both sides are clear, you can use either a left-hand or right-hand unit.
